If you want it to happen automaticall in Windows world you can do at
least one of the following:

* mount a network drive and then access it with optional password save
and permanent mount

* or you put your remote server access credentials in the Control
Panel -> Users and Passwords, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306541,
and then when you try to access remote file system from any code it
will be available to you auto magically through AD or Samba.

In the latter scenario use path like //server/exportedfolder/path/, or
if you are Administrator or belong to AD group that has proper
credentials you can access remote disk using file path like
//server/[a-z]$/path

There is an API to do so, but we do not have a wrapper for NetUseAdd yet.
